Job Summary:
Heitmeyer has banking client that has a need within their Infrastructure Security team for an IT Security Analyst to work through multiple security needs in 2025 to address product, application and cloud security.
Job Description:
The IT Security Analyst will manage the work to close gaps with vulnerability issues. Several target areas and projects to coordinate for Application, Infrastructure and Data Security with goal to remediate key findings and work with key partners on resolution.
Top Required Skills:
- Must have some experience – prefer 3 years – working as a security analyst on vulnerability reports.
- REQUIRE solid Python language skills to fulfill the role – additional programming languages a bonus.
- Ability to populate vulnerability reports, validate vulnerability findings and create remediation plans.
- Must be able to engage engineering teams to resolve issues identified through the application security program.
- Require core understanding of cyber security and application security principles and concepts.
- Ability to partner with team members regarding vulnerability reports including automation of report templates (Google Slides and MIRO boards).
- Strong working knowledge of JIRA platform.
- Solid communication with High EQ – ability to present to senior leadership and key partners.
- Action-oriented individual to take lead on pushing through roadblocks and hitting milestones.
Nice-to-have:
- Background within financial services would be extremely beneficial but not required – need to be able to navigate across partners.
- Cloud experience – especially with GCP, Salesforce Cloud or Azure.
Top Responsibilities:
- Validate findings from application security toolset.
- Develop remediation plans with details on the issue along with expected outcome.
- Partner with engineering teams to resolve issue and reduce risk through most efficient development solutions.
- Leverage Python and other coding languages to help with automation of tasks.
- Create documentation around fixes and work to educate engineers on best practices.
- Support development of program metrics and planning.
- Provide consistent updates and reporting to all stakeholders regarding risks and mitigation actions.
