Professional Summary:
Heitmeyer is seeking a Technical Lead who is hands-on with full stack development for its banking client. This role sits within the Wealth Tech domain and supports a series of large-scale modernization initiatives, including a key project focused on wealth platform modernization. As the manager restructures her team, this role is critical to driving both hands-on development and technical leadership.
Note: This role is a blend of 50% hands-on development and 50% technical leadership.
Must-Have Technical Requirements:
- 8–10 years of hands-on experience in full stack development
- Back-end: Java
- Front-end: Angular or React
- Minimum 2 years of technical leading experience with ability to build and guide a team, cross-train, and collaborate effectively
- Solution design expertise including ability to create and articulate architectural diagrams, data architectures, and web service/API designs
- Understanding of SAML and Okta (SSO) — hands-on experience not required
- Strong database experience with Oracle and SQL
- Cloud experience is required, with a preference for Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- Experience in banking
- Highly self-sufficient and proactive in solving problems and driving initiatives forward
Nice-to-Have:
- Experience with Mainframe / COBOL
- Exposure to WebSphere
- Hands-on experience with GCP
Top Responsibilities:
- Lead and contribute to full stack development (50% coding / 50% leadership), eventually leading a team of 5–6 onshore/offshore engineers.
- Collaborate on current-state and future-state architecture, design end-to-end solutions, and guide the team through implementation. Assess and improve existing functionalities.
- Work closely with the manager on resource and skill gap analysis to ensure appropriate coverage across projects.
- Address production support issues by conducting incident analysis and determining root causes.
